The following pages are designed to answer any questions you may have regarding our office: When should my child see a dentist?Schedule your baby’s first appointment when they reach the age of one, as suggested by the AAPD. This allows us to give early education and dental resources to parents, as well as identify any risks present in the child’s oral development. What happens during the first dental visit?We keep the first dental visit short and sweet. You and your child will have the opportunity to ask questions and get to know our team. Very young patients are welcome to sit with their parents in the dental chair for greater security. During the exam, our doctors will check your child’s teeth for decay and disease. They will examine your child’s bite and look for potential problems in the gums and jaw. We will gently clean the teeth and can offer a quick fluoride treatment.
