For many, going to the dentist is an overall unpleasant experience. Some offices are cold and formal. Many dental chairs are uninviting, and there’s nothing to take your mind off of what’s going on.
We do things differently at Sierra Kids Dentistry! One of our goals is to change the way your child thinks about visiting the dentist. Instead of creating a cold, clinical atmosphere, we create a homey and kid-friendly environment.
Genuine Compassion:Our professionals truly care about your child. We understand that needs and preferences vary between kids. We listen to you and your little ones and do what needs to be done to ensure their comfort.
Relaxing Surroundings:Relaxing music, comfortable seating, and exciting patient amenities. We want your child to feel like every dental appointment is relaxing and fun.
Patient Amenities: Many kids like entertainment and comfort options for a better dental visit. They have access to distractions and luxuries at Sierra Kids Dentistry.
Advanced Tech:We stray from traditional tools and methods, and use technology that is far more comfortable for our young patients. Our tools make treatments faster and minimize downtime.
Your child has nothing to fear about their first visit. Our staff is very gentle. They use state-of-the-art equipment and a soft touch to make your child’s experience comfortable. The following pages are designed to answer any questions you may have regarding our office:
When should my child see a dentist?
Schedule your baby’s first appointment when they reach the age of one, as suggested by the AAPD. This allows us to give early education and dental resources to parents, as well as identify any risks present in the child’s oral development.
What happens during the first dental visit?
We keep the first dental visit short and sweet. You and your child will have the opportunity to ask questions and get to know our team. Very young patients are welcome to sit with their parents in the dental chair for greater security.
During the exam, our doctors will check your child’s teeth for decay and disease. They will examine your child’s bite and look for potential problems in the gums and jaw. We will gently clean the teeth and can offer a quick fluoride treatment.
If there is anything you need while in our care, please don’t hesitate to ask one of our staff members. We hope you feel well taken care of here. To schedule an appointment or ask a question, contact Sierra Kids Dentistry today.
